FinTrU Ireland raises €10,000 for Donegal Hospice

FinTrU Ireland and charity partner Donegal Hospice celebrate first year of partnership

Despite having been in operation for over 10 years, FinTrU's arrival in Letterkenny is relatively recent. However, in line with the company's ethos to positively impact and contribute to the communities in which they operate, FinTrU has quickly formed a strong bond with Donegal Hospice.

Following a series of fundraisers for the hospice in 2023, in January 2024 FinTrU Ireland announced Donegal Hospice as its official charity partner. Voted for by employees, Donegal Hospice was the overwhelming charity of choice due to its strong foundations in the community with everyone having a positive story to tell about them.

Throughout 2024, Letterkenny-based employees held multiple events including table quizzes, bake sales and walks, raising €10,000 in the process. Employees also volunteered their time in helping out at the hospice.

FinTrU Ireland Site Lead Sylvester Clancy said: "We were delighted to be able to hand over this cheque to Isobel [Isobel Rodgers, Donegal Hospice Chairperson] today. Whether it's fundraising, volunteering, or both, employees in our Letterkenny office are passionate about working with the hospice."

FinTrU Chief of Staff Katrien Roppe said: "It is always a pleasure to catch up with Isobel, and today she provided us with some important insight into the hospice's ongoing plans and how we can continue to help them achieve their goals."

FinTrU's dedicated Charity Committee are continuing to organise fundraisers and volunteering at the hospice throughout the year.
