FinTrU Ireland volunteers its time to Donegal Hospice

As fundraising for FinTrU Ireland’s charity partner Donegal Hospice continues, last week employees popped in for a visit with a different kind of donation.

In addition to fundraising through charity events, FinTrU Ireland also dedicates its time. Last Friday, FinTrU Ireland Site Lead Sylvester Clancy, FinTrU Ireland Charity Committee Chair Jamie Sweeney and Chief Technology Officer Emma Pollock took a trip to the hospice to hand over volunteer forms to its chairperson, Isobel Rodgers.

Sylvester said: “I am extremely proud with the overwhelming response from FinTrU employees here in Letterkenny. While fundraising is a key part of or our partnership, volunteering free time to help out at the hospice is a huge part of our company ethos to get involved with the local community.”

During the visit, FinTrU also donated televisions to be installed across hospice rooms.

For FinTrU’s Chief Technology Officer Emma Pollock, currently working on secondment in Donegal, this was her first visit to the hospice.

Emma said: “Meeting Isobel and finding out more about the planned developments of the site here has been one of the highlights of my secondment in Donegal so far.  We are delighted to be in the position to be able to donate much needed TV equipment to FinTrU Ireland’s charity partner and it’s amazing that so many of our employees have volunteered to give their time to help out. It’s clear that a strong bond has been formed between them and Isobel in our first year of partnership.”

Earlier in the year, FinTrU donated tables and chairs for the hospice canteen and have a busy year ahead with a variety of fundraisers taking place.
