Yesterday, FinTrU's Porto Charity Committee welcomed Manager of the North Region of Acreditar Ana Monteiro to the Porto office to celebrate Acreditar becoming its official charity partner. Acreditar (Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Cancer) was established in 1994 to help face the challenges of paediatric cancer, accompanying families from diagnosis and throughout the different stages of the disease. The charity was voted to be the official FinTrU Porto charity partner by FinTrU Porto employees. Acreditar's site visit this week was to find out just how FinTrU can help as its charity partner.
FinTrU Porto Site Lead Telmo Fernandes said: “The support to Acreditar is the result of FinTrU's commitment to create high-quality professional employment while making an impactful and positive contribution to the communities in which we operate.”
The site visit was the perfect time to pass on some donations to Acreditar including bags of toys, nappies, and school materials. In November 2022, FinTrU hosted a corporate event in which FinTrU staff members donated funds to the non-profit organisation and now the partnership has been officially cemented.
Porto Charity Committee Chair Sofia Tabau said: “We are all very excited to work with Acreditar, and we have plenty of creative ideas for the future."
